Well you say what about John 10:10, the thief comes to kill steal and destroy? That’s fair enough, but what if he uses complacency in your walk to kill your passion, or steal your purpose, and destroy your witness?
See the truth is, God can’t even use complacent Christians and its not that he’s powerless, he simply can’t trust you with your own relationship with him, much less a greater role in the Kingdom. No, the only person that uses complacent Christians is Satan. They are tools he uses to infect the body of Christ with apathy. He feeds their lukewarmness and turns them loose like a virus.
But when we get passionate about Jesus Christ and we press into his purpose for us and we tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, we get life, we get purpose. We become the witness that God wants us to be. So the encouragement is be passionate for Jesus. Let your passion to point people to Jesus, not your complacency turn people away.
